The answer is “no”. We have some customers talking about OEM suppliers threat them if they use the compatible or remanufactured cartridges, their printer will be damaged. This is not true. To make it clear, we should know first that the compatible and remanufactured cartridges have no way to damage the printer. We did a lot claimed such cases before, such as leaking, cartridge jammed the printer, etc. Till now, when the customers brought their printer to our technicians, we found all the cases were caused by improper handling by the customers, such as by forcing the cartridge into the slot, not taking off seal or covers or shipping protectors, etc. So, please keep in mind, your printer will not be damaged by using a compatible or remanufactured inkjet or toner cartridges.
The situations for a now-working-fine printer could be different, so when it happens, it is always helpful to get some professional suggestions to resolve the issue properly.
